About the role:

IT and OT security have never been more critical, and this role puts you at the centre of protecting what matters most as Origin leads the energy transition.

You’ll join a highly capable, forward‑thinking cyber security team working at the intersection of energy, technology and innovation, tackling challenges across smart grids, cloud‑first platforms, DevOps and digital services supporting more than 4.3 million customers.

As part of the Cyber Security Operations team, you’ll actively detect, investigate and respond to threats across endpoints, networks, identities and cloud environments, playing a key role in incident response and proactive threat hunting. 

We’re seeking multiple Security Operations Analysts across varying levels of experience, offering the opportunity to grow your impact while helping uplift security tooling, detections and processes using real‑world threat intelligence.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor, tune, and maintain security tooling across endpoints, networks, cloud, and identity platforms
• Rapidly triage and assess alerts, escalating incidents when required
• Execute incident response activities, including scoping, containment, evidence gathering, and coordination
• Conduct proactive threat hunting using telemetry, behavioural analysis, and log analytics
• Track threat advisories and drive timely, priority responses to emerging risks
• Maintain the health, reliability, and documentation of security tools, detections, and investigations

Skills & Requirements

• Experience in large enterprises, including hybrid cloud environments
• Hands-on experience in incident response, alert triage, or threat hunting
• Familiarity with SIEM/EDR, cloud security tools, and log analysis
• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash) and cloud/endpoint/identity security technologies
• Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders and make decisions under pressure
