About the role

At Origin Zero, we’re delivering the next generation of distributed energy solutions for commercial and industrial customers. We’re looking for a Customer Project Manager – ESP to take end to end ownership of complex installation projects across solar, battery, EV and energy services, ensuring seamless delivery from sale through to operational handover.

 

This role sits at the heart of project execution, working closely with internal customers, internal delivery teams, and external partners to bring innovative energy solutions to life. You will manage a pipeline of installation projects across Australia, owning the full project lifecycle from contract acceptance to final handover. Coordinating multidisciplinary teams, manage installers and stakeholders, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within scope and to Origin’s quality standards.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • End to end project management of distributed energy installation projects from sale to handover
  • Coordinate internal teams across sales, design, procurement, HSE and commercial functions
  • Manage external installers, consultants, networks and subcontractors to deliver quality outcomes
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, documentation and O&M handover packages
  • Identify and manage project risks, ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements
  • Build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders, representing Origin’s brand throughout delivery

 

What will you bring?

This is an ideal opportunity for a highly organised coordinator who enjoys working across technical projects in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment. You will also bring:

 

  • Demonstrated experience coordinating or managing technical, building services or energy projects
  • Experience working with electrical or distributed energy assets (solar, batteries, EV or similar)
  • Strong stakeholder coordination skills, with confidence engaging suppliers, councils and network providers
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple projects concurrently and meet tight timeframes
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills across technical and commercial audiences

 

Qualifications & experience (preferred)

 

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Project Management or similar
  • Electrical design or installation experience highly regarded
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project or Procore
