About the role

As Contracts & Commercial Manager, you’ll provide commercial leadership across Origin’s development and construction portfolio, with a strong focus on pre‑award strategy, tendering and contract formation. You’ll lead major negotiations, shape sourcing strategies and ensure contracts are bankable, compliant and commercially sound setting projects up for long‑term success.

Key responsibilities

• Lead commercial, procurement and contracting strategies for major development projects up to FID
• Drive tendering, negotiation and formation of high‑value contracts (EPC, D&C, OEM, connection agreements)
• Provide strategic commercial advice across project lifecycles, including bankability and risk management
• Manage internal and external stakeholders including Legal, Treasury, Tax, Insurance and senior project teams
• Build strong market engagement with contractors, suppliers and advisors to support innovation and value creation

What will you bring

• Extensive experience leading commercial outcomes on major construction or energy projects
• Strong pre‑contract expertise across complex, high‑value negotiations and tender processes
• Deep understanding of construction contracting models and industry standard forms
• Commercial acumen with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams
• A resilient, strategic mindset with the confidence to operate autonomously at a senior level
