About the role:  
  

As our eMobility business continues to grow, we're looking for a commercially driven Business Development Manager to help accelerate the deployment of EV charging infrastructure across Australia's construction and property sectors. 

 

In this role, you'll partner with developers, builders, strata managers and building operators to deliver innovative EV charging solutions across residential and commercial developments. Working within a high-growth business, you'll build influential industry relationships, identify new opportunities and help customers achieve their sustainability goals. 

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced team where you'll play a key role in shaping customer solutions, driving commercial outcomes and supporting Australia's transition to a lower-carbon future. 

 

What you'll be doing 

 

  • Build and manage a pipeline of opportunities across the construction sector and small business customers 

  • Drive the adoption of EV charging solutions across new developments and retrofit projects 

  • Develop strong relationships with developers, builders, strata managers, consultants and small business owners and operators 

  • Lead the end-to-end sales process from opportunity identification through to proposal, negotiation and contract execution for fleet, charging and salary packaging solutions. 

  • Deliver customer presentations, proposals and tailored commercial solutions 

  • Collaborate with Origin teams including CES, New Property Channel, Origin Zero and retail SME teams 

  • Provide market insights and customer feedback to influence product development and future offerings 

 

What you'll bring 

 

  • 3 + years’ experience in small business sales development sales experience with strata organisations or developers desired  

  • Proven ability to build, manage and convert sales pipelines to deliver commercial outcomes 

  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills 

  • Commercial acumen with strong negotiation and influencing capabilities 

  • Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills 

  • Ability to work autonomously and thrive in a fast-paced environment 

  • Experience within construction, property, infrastructure, energy or related industries will be highly regarded 

  • A passion for innovation, customer outcomes and the energy transition
