Client Relationship Manager - CES/Owners Corp, NSW/ACT

About the Role 

This is a commercial role for someone who knows how to turn relationships into results.

You'll join Origin's Centralised Energy Services (CES) team, managing and growing a portfolio of embedded network sites across NSW. Embedded networks are the energy infrastructure within residential strata and apartment developments — and it's a growing market where Origin is actively expanding its footprint.

You'll come in with an established book of Owners Corporations, strata managers and developers. Your job is to deepen those relationships, identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across the portfolio, and secure new embedded network acquisitions from competitors. Think of it as the best of both worlds: a warm base to grow from, plus genuine new business to win.

Reporting to the State Sales Manager, you'll operate with real autonomy — managing your own pipeline, attending OC and building meetings (including occasional after-hours events), and acting as the trusted energy adviser to your clients. A company vehicle is included.

How you'll make an impact

• You'll manage the full commercial lifecycle of your portfolio — renewing and renegotiating contracts, identifying expansion opportunities within existing sites, and acquiring new embedded networks from the market
• You'll build relationships across OC committees, strata managers, facility managers and developers, providing proactive advice on energy contracts and efficiency
• You'll also contribute to Origin's growth in this space by helping identify and convert new acquisition targets across the NSW market
  
  

What you'll bring

You're a commercially minded relationship professional with a track record of growing revenue within an existing customer base. You know how to identify an upsell opportunity, build a business case for a client, and close - without being pushy about it

• You'll bring experience in account management, key account management, business development or B2B sales, ideally from energy, utilities, property, facilities management, building services or telecommunications
• You're comfortable managing contracts and navigating commercial conversations, and you can adapt your communication style from a one-on-one with a building manager to presenting at an after-hours strata committee meeting
• A current full driver's licence is required
  
  

You don't need to be a deep energy technical expert — we'll give you that. What we can't teach is the commercial instinct to spot an opportunity in a warm account and the drive to convert it.
