ABOUT THE ROLE
 

Origin Energy is seeking an outstanding Business Development Manager to work on driving new business in the Liverpool to Wollongong area.


The Business Development Manager is required to display strong “hunter” & cold calling attributes. This is a role that requires you to be on the road for most of the week. You will be winning new business through prospecting, marketing and network referral approaches. We want someone who is passionate about supporting customers with their decarbonisation journey by offering LPG as a lower carbon emitting energy solution.
 

Reporting into the NSW Sales Manager, this position will play an integral role in developing Commercial & Industrial business opportunities. This role within the business gives the individual opportunity for career progression in many related energy markets.

 

Responsibilities include: 
 

  • Grow customer numbers, volume and sales margin in the Liverpool to Wollongong area
  • Provide timely and relevant competitor information and market intelligence on a weekly basis
  • Develop a sales pipeline through prospecting and maintaining a CRM tool
  • Communicate sales leads and new business opportunities to other teams
  • Working closely with all internal stakeholders to achieve customer success and delivery of energy requirements
  • Comply with Origin HSE, codes of practice, standards, policies and operating procedures

 
ABOUT YOU 

 

Your success in this role will be determined by your excellent skills as a top salesperson and your ability to build strong relationships.
Experience with LPG is not mandatory as we will provide you with extensive product experience upon commencement.


You will have:
 

  • Previous selling experience in a B2B environment
  • Ability to identify cross-selling opportunities
  • Positive attitude with a capacity to learn and develop
  • Relationship management skills/techniques
  • Evidence of successful cold calling experience 
  • Sales pipeline management
  • Current drivers license
