About the role

Are you ready to take ownership of how technology assets are managed, optimised, and delivered across a major organisation? We’re looking for a proactive IT Asset Analyst to join our Sydney-based Technology Assets and Service Management team. You’ll work alongside a high-performing team with stakeholders across the business to ensure assets are well-managed, cost-efficient, and driving value.

You will be the customer champion, solving problems, improving processes, and making technology work better for people. While playing a critical role in software and hardware lifecycle management, identifying opportunities for savings, optimisation, and continuous improvement.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the lifecycle of hardware and software assets – from procurement through to retirement.
  • Analyse asset and usage data to uncover cost-saving opportunities, pick up on patterns, and reduce risk.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant records of licensing and contracts, ensuring regulatory requirements are met.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve asset management issues, providing clear insights and reporting to leadership.
  • Collaborate across IT, security, procurement, finance, and commercial teams to deliver value-driven solutions.
  • Configure ServiceNow (or other service management platforms) and ensure accurate CMDB, Hardware and software asset records.
  • Support global service partners, including teams based in India, to deliver high-quality outcomes.

What will you bring?

You will have demonstrated experience in IT hardware and software asset management. With strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills. As well as a natural troubleshooter who sees the patterns. You will also bring:

  • Knowledge of software licensing models and asset lifecycle management.
  • Experience using ServiceNow or another service management platform.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal – with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams.
  • Proactive, go-getter attitude – taking initiative and going above and beyond to deliver improvements.

Desirable:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).
  • ITIL certification or familiarity with ITIL practices.
  • Advanced Excel and reporting skills.

So why join us?

  • 20 weeks of paid leave for primary carers with flexible return options.
  • Thrive in a culture of personal and professional growth.
  • Enjoy a central CBD location with access to parking and public transport.
  • Purchase up to four additional weeks of leave annually.
  • Engage in opportunities through the Origin Foundation to support your community.
