About the role

Support employees through injury and illness recovery, driving safe and sustainable return-to-work outcomes across the business.

 

As an Injury Management Advisor, you’ll work within a high-performing HSSE Health team managing injury and illness cases across both physical and psychological presentations. You’ll partner closely with employees, leaders, treating practitioners and insurers to deliver practical, recovery-focused outcomes.

 

In addition to end-to-end case management, you’ll contribute to early intervention, claims performance and continuous improvement initiatives that support Origin’s broader workforce health strategy.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage end-to-end injury and illness cases across physical and psychological presentations
  • Develop and implement tailored return-to-work plans aligned with medical advice
  • Engage with treating practitioners, insurers and rehabilitation providers
  • Support recovery through early intervention and trauma-informed approaches
  • Analyse injury and claims trends to support improved recovery outcomes and prevention initiatives

 

What will you bring?

You’ll bring experience managing injury and illness cases across physical and psychological presentations, along with the ability to balance employee recovery outcomes with operational and business needs.

You’ll also demonstrate:

  • Experience in injury management, occupational rehabilitation or allied health (e.g. physiotherapy, occupational therapy, exercise physiology or psychology)
  • Strong knowledge of workers compensation legislation and injury management frameworks
  • Ability to interpret medical advice and translate it into practical workplace-based recovery plans
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills across employees, leaders and external providers
  • Empathy, professionalism and a practical, solutions-focused approach
