About the role
If you are the kind of engineer who can troubleshoot a fault, rethink a design, keep a plant running, and bring resourceful MacGyver energy to any situation, this role is for you. As a Senior Electrical Engineer at Origin, you will support owner-operator needs across design, maintenance, operations, and outages while helping power Australia’s energy transition.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical design, scoping and technical oversight across generation sites
- Tackle faults, outages and urgent issues with calm, creative, solutions-focused thinking
- Apply an owner-operator mindset to lift reliability, safety and long-term asset health
- Work closely with OEMs, service partners and internal teams to resolve technical challenges
- Shape asset strategies, procedures and performance improvements across the fleet
What will you bring?
- Degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering (Washington Accord accredited)
- 5+ years’ experience with LV/HV and I&C systems (preferably in power generation or heavy industry)
- CPEng (or commitment to obtain within six months)
- Strong safety mindset, analytical capability and whole-of-life asset thinking
- Hands-on, inventive, MacGyver-style problem solving and adaptability
