About the role:

As a Finance and Accounting Graduate at Origin, you'll build your career in finance and accounting at one of Australia's largest ASX-listed energy companies. From day one, you'll be trusted with real work, real decisions, and the chance to see how finance powers one of the most critical sectors in the country.

Beginning in February 2027, you'll embark on a three-year rotational program built around depth, breadth, and genuine professional development. Your first year starts in Finance Shared Services, where you'll develop a strong foundation in accounting across General Accounting, Accounts Payable, Receipting and Refunds, Fixed Assets and Project Accounting, Master Data, and Reporting and Analytics. You'll contribute to month-end processes, reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit support.

In Years 2 and 3, you'll rotate annually across different parts of the Origin finance community, gaining exposure to business finance, corporate finance, and commercial decision-making across gas, electricity, renewables, and customer energy products. As Origin continues to invest across our diversified energy portfolio, you'll see how finance shapes decision-making in every part of the business.

Completion of your CA or CPA accreditation is an expectation of the program. You'll be supported to get there across your three years with us, with structured time, training, and mentorship built into your development.

What you will bring

We're looking for analytical and detail-oriented graduates with degrees in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. Preference for candidates who have completed the pre-requisite subjects to commence their CA or CPA without bridging courses.

Ideal candidates will be curious problem-solvers, strong communicators, and confident team players who enjoy making complex things clear.

You'll be eager to grow your finance expertise and contribute to meaningful work that supports Australia's energy future.

Graduate roles are based flexibly across Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane, or Melbourne, with potential travel between locations as part of your rotations.

You must hold Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency (PR) to be eligible for this opportunity and be available to start full-time work in February 2027.
