About the role:

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will contribute to the civil and structural development of projects, including wind farms, valued at over $1 billion. Responsibilities include reviewing concept designs, conducting feasibility studies, performing technical due diligence, participating in tendering processes, conducting geotechnical assessments, and providing input during contractual negotiations. The role primarily focuses on civil and structural project inputs prior to the final investment decision (FID) stage, with additional support for projects post-FID provided to the Asset Delivery team.

Why this role matters:

  • Conduct technical due diligence activities on future asset infrastructure opportunities, including feasibility studies, geotechnical assessments, and general civil and structural technical assessments

  • Evaluate and provide technical opinions on the design of new assets and assess future technology options

  • Conduct technical design reviews to optimize cost, risk, and performance for proposed development projects, ensuring compliance with operational, maintenance, safety, and stakeholder requirements

  • Support regulatory processes, including development approvals and preparation of supporting documentation

  • Manage project budgets, consultancy costs, and internal costs to meet team objectives

What will you bring?

  • Relevant Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent, accompanied by a minimum of 7 years of prior experience in the Wind Energy space

  • Extensive experience in geotechnical program design, management, and results interpretation

  • Familiarity with renewable technologies, particularly wind, and an interest in solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS)

  • Proven capability in development projects, including skills in risk management, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation

  • Proficiency in geotechnical program design, evaluation tools, and software, with knowledge of Google Earth and Sketcher for project assessments

  • Demonstrated adaptability and ability to work effectively in a team, readily shifting priorities as required
